The Joliet Section of the American Chemical Society is pleased to award the Salim Diab Award to an ACS Joliet member that has shown outstanding achievement and contribution to the field of chemistry.  This award is given every 3 years.

Many of you knew Salim and the impact he had.  This award focuses on outstanding achievements, service/volunteer work, and contributions to chemistry just to name a few.  If you know someone who has done something notable or made a significant contribution to chemistry in some way, please nominate them for the Salim Diab award this year.  Any ACS Joliet member can submit a nomination for another ACS Joliet member.  The winner of the Salim Diab award will receive a paid 1 year ACS membership by ACS Joliet.

Nominations for the award will be reviewed by the Joliet Section Board. ​The Joliet Section Board must receive all nominations for the award. The nomination form must be filled out and address the above award criteria. All nominations can be completed using the nomination form below.

Nominators and their honored nominees and family members are invited and encouraged to join us at the ACS Joliet Awards Ceremony and dinner.

ACS Joliet will be hosting the awards ceremony for the 2024-2025 academic year on Thursday, April 10th at Governors State University. This awards ceremony is in conjunction with our CCEW event and a careers in chemistry panel discussion from local industry professionals.
