CHEMISTRY OLYMPIAD COMPETITION

The U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad (USNCO) program is a chemistry competition for high school students. The purpose of the competition is to stimulate young people to achieve excellence in chemistry. The American Chemical Society has sponsored the program since 1984. Local Chemistry Olympiad competitions are held each year in March. Top-scoring students are nominated for the National Competition.

We encourage all high school students in the ACS Joliet area (Will, Kankakee, Kendall, Grundy, and LaSalle Counties) to participate. For more information, contact us at ACSJoliet@gmail.com.

THANK YOU TO ALL OUR 2022 PARTICIPANTS. RESULTS WILL BE ANNOUNCED SOON

The top-scoring student(s) from the local competition will be nominated to take the national exam in late April and will be recognized at our awards ceremony this Spring. The date and location of the national exam is TBD.
